Since its launch nine years ago Medical Spellcheck has become the most widely used British English medical spell checker and we are pleased to announce that Version 6 is now available. Developed in the UK specifically for UK NHS use, it contains c50,000 UK English spellings of medical terms, anatomical names, diseases, surgical procedures, plus Trade, Generic and OTC drug names, abbreviations etc.
Our UK Medical Spellchecker works simultaneously with your PC's own spellchecker (no extra buttons to press), checking the spelling of letters and reports, ignoring correctly spelt words and suggesting an alternative for incorrectly spelt words. Unlike smaller spellcheckers which may be incomplete and frustrating to use or the very large USA English spellcheckers adapted for UK use that offer such a bewildering array of possibilities requiring further research with a medical dictionary, our 50,000 word Medical Spellcheck will rarely let you down! Here is a selection of the medical terms.
UK Medical Spellcheck requires only 0.6Mb of free hard disk space and is available for most MS Word processing packages. The automatic installation programme is very simple to use and requires no specialist knowledge. Each CD is individually checked and guaranteed virus-free. And, in the unlikely event that you have a problem, there's a UK based helpdesk to lend a hand and available at the standard BT telephone rate.
